Elder Eric Lavan Hooper

Elder Eric Lavan Hooper transitioned to Heaven March 25, 2018. He was born in Apalachicola, FL to the late Sara H. Suddeth Hooper and the late Robert Williams Sr.  His Love of 11 years, since May 19, 2006 is Antoinette Poole Hooper.

Eric was a fervent soul winner who shared the Good News about Jesus Christ. He was the Pastor of Journey By Faith Ministry, serving in the Eureka Gardens and Washington Heights housing communities in Jacksonville, FL.  He served as an Elder under Pastor Abraham Lincoln Washington of Legacy Ministry Worship Center and Titus Harvest Dome Spectrum Church under the late Pastor Rodney J. Washington Sr.  Elder Hooper worked many years independently with young men at AMI Kids (Clay County) mentoring, counseling and using basketball challenges to win souls for Christ.

The viewing will be on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home 529 Kingsley Ave., Orange Park, FL 32073 (904) 264-1233. The Homegoing Service will be Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Greater Church of God by Faith 2434 Old Middleburg Rd N, Jacksonville, FL 32210.
