Richard Fred Dailey passed away unexpectedly on March 26, 2017 in Palatka, FL. He was born on October 27, 1946 in Lakewood, OH, to the late Ivan Robert and Betty Brush Dailey.

Richard retired from the U.S. Navy as an aviation electrician and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of Moose Lodge #184 in Palatka, FL and the VFW. His hobbies included boating, NASCAR, trivia, and being a handyman.

Surviving Richard are his brother, Robert Ivan (Janet) Dailey; sister, Dottie Jeanne Dailey; nieces, Melissa Ann Dailey (Brian) Fairbanks and Megan Jeanne Dailey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made in his name with the Disabled American Veterans organization (DAV.org).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and a service on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. both at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073 (904) 264-1233.
