Ronald J. Kneip passed away on May 5, 2017 in Orange Park, FL. He was born on February 27, 1948 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Arthur A. and Anna Mae Kneip.

Ronald joined the U.S. Navy in 1965 and retired in 1988 with 23 years of service retiring as Master Chief Mastered at Arms. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Ronald loved being a husband, dad and grandfather and playing with children in the neighborhood. He took pride in succeeding in his personal and professional life. Ronald was a member of St Luke’s Church, loved card games, NASCAR races, beach trips, dog and horse racing and was king of coupon extreme.

Preceding Ronald in death are his parents, and wife, Sandra Kay Kneip.

To cherish Ronald’s memory are his daughters, Cynthia A. Kneip and Geraldine L. Nolin; stepsons, Michael R. Davis, Jr. and Corey E. Davis; grandchildren, Jamie, Courtney, Madison, Taylor and Parker H. Davis and Brittany A. Kneip; great-grandchildren, Stella A. Costa, Kinslee A. Pickett and Lila Rose Davis; brother, David Kneip; sister, Carol Kneip; nephew, Jeffrey Kneip; niece, Amy Kneip; cousins, Susan Davis, Mary Newberry and Patricia Doby and friends, Jimmy Schulick, Francis Jones, Jim Quinn and Pat Doby.

The family wishes to thank Haven Hospice for their care and kindness shown to their loved one.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Saint Luke Catholic Church, 1606 Blanding Boulevard, Middleburg, FL 32068
