I never thought I would be burying my youngest son at 31 years old. I was so anxious about making funeral arrangements. All of the staff were so kind and accommodating. I was worried about the cost also. They did not try to pressure me. They allowed me to make choices within my budget that I was very happy with. I cannot recommend Bivens Funeral Home enough.

Aaron and his family are truly a God-send when the time comes to plan a funeral for your loved one. They were compassionate, caring, and so helpful when we had to make arrangements for my Dad's funeral in 2o14. Ron was my next door neighbor when we were instructors in the Air Traffic Control Schools in Brunswick. Became friends then and continued until his death. Oct. 3, 2016 was the worse day of my life, I received a phone call with the tragic news that my only child, a senior at FSU in Tallahassee, who was active in many organizations and lived life to the fullest, had died of a brain aneurysm. Her father contacted Aaron and Burney Bivens to begin the process of laying her to rest. We met with them and were treated with the utmost respect, kindness, and sensitivity. We are a split family and Aaron handled all the questions and requests we made with such professionalism and sensitivity that it made it easy on us. I can't say enough about this funeral home, their staff, and Aaron and Burney Bivens. When you walk into the front door it is beautiful just like the people there, you feel welcomed, like you are stepping into someone's home not a funeral home. I often told Aaron he and his business was 5 star, they truly are. Thank you Aaron for your respect, your kindness, your understanding, and your sensitivity. Thank you to Burney and the staff for your kindness and sensitivity and all your hard work. I am so grateful for the beautiful, dignified service you gave our daughter. My first day as a health teacher at Forrest High school in 1980, Jim was shot in the parking lot by a trespasser. From that day Jim became my mentor, co-teaching health classes for 2 years. I saw first hand how a master teacher treated all student behaviors and made his students love to be in his class. For the next 30 years as a colleague Jim continued to teach me how to love teaching and coaching.
