Charles Thomas White

Charles Thomas White passed away on November 22, 2019 at Malcom Randall V.A. Hospital in Gainesville, FL He was born on November 8, 1958 in Norfolk, VA to Shirley Ann White and the late Selbon Saunders White.

He graduated from Suffolk High School, Suffolk, VA, class of 1977 and served in the US Army.

Charles was a member of Anastasia Baptist Church. He had a passion for music and enjoyed playing the bass guitar.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory, mother, Shirley Radford; step-father, Bill Radford; sisters, Judy O’Brien, Barbara Lee, Dale (John) Workman and Amy Staley; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.

A special thank you to the doctors and staff at Malcom Randall V.A. Medical Center, Gainesville, FL for their excellent care and compassion. And a special thank you to the Fisher House for the beautiful accommodations.

We are so thankful for all the outpouring of love and prayers from friends and family. We gratefully acknowledge, Pastor Mason Reigger of Anastasia Baptist Church, Elkton, for his care and support and being with us as we surrounded Charles with love, music and prayers and watched as he left all suffering behind and made his heavenly journey in the arms of God.
