Danae Craig Obituary

Danae Shannon Craig was born to Misty and Glensford Craig on April 6, 1992 in Sugarland, Texas. She was the youngest of seven children. Her siblings Sonia Craig, Gail Craig, Shawayne (Amandia) Craig, Tiffany (Sylvester Johnson) Craig, Glensford Dewayne Craig, and Daja Craig are left behind.

Danae attended Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. Her career as an entrepreneur centered around Business Entertainment and Fashion Design. Danae is the founder and CEO of D.U.M.B. (Don’t Underestimate My Brilliance). She was also an artist under One Sound Production.

Danae loved to speak life into others. She was a beacon of encouragement and enlightenment for those that knew her. She inspired so many with wisdom and unfailing support. Her love for others superseded any situation.

Danae enjoyed spending time with her family especially her nieces and nephews. In addition to her activities in music, film production, as well as artist management and development.

 

Danae leaves to mourn her mother, Misty Craig and her family, sister, Daja Craig (nephew, Elijah Jno-Baptiste), Andrea Craig (nieces, Brailynn and Brooklyn Craig-Daley), Jason Craig (Lily Craig, Rose Craig, Lucas Craig, Daisy Craig, Madison Craig, and Jason Craig, Jr.), nephew, Gabriel Craig Johnson, Breeanna Craig (Isaac Johnson, Jr.), Porshae and Bryan McMillian (Audrey McMillian), Artist Craig, Winston Craig , Janson Craig, Deontrey James, Marcus and Nina James (Aria James), Anissa Craig-Sutton, Brittany Craig and Dante Craig.

She is preceded in death by her father, Glensford Lester Craig; grandmother, Mary Evelyn Barnes and her grandfather, Theodore Asberry.

The family wishes to give special thanks to her partner Rakiah Monroe and best friends and honorary family members Daniel Wilcox, Blythe Weaver, Jacobe Hogans, Mariah Jenkins, Tee Nicholson, Zander Floyd, Linda Davis, Talaya Johnson and Jordyn Clayton.

As God has called you home, your work here on earth is done. May you rest in peace.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 264-1233.
