Gerard W. Bouthillet, 86, of Middleburg, FL, passed away on May 26, 2019 in the comfort of his home with family.
“Jerry” was born in Bronxville, NY and joined the Air Force after graduating from high school. Moving up the ranks in the Air Force he became a C-130 pilot, serving in Korea and in the Vietnam war. He served honorably for 20 years and retired a Major at Langley Air Force Base, Tactical Air Command in 1972.
As a pastor, teacher, published author, musician and political advocate, his greatest joy was his family. He leaves behind his spouse, Marilyn, 5 children, 17 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren … so far! Most passionate about His Father God, his life purpose was teaching Godly principles and loving well.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home at 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904)264-1233 on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. The Rev. Philip M. Privette, Jr. will officiate. Burial will take place on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
For those who feel so moved, in lieu of flowers, please consider our mother at this emotionally diverse time in her life. She rejoices in the fact that “Pop” is dancing around the throne with his precious Jesus (probably to some Beegie Adair music!), but also grieves the loss of her beloved husband, protector and life-long friend. Your donation will assist her in keeping financial concerns at bay while she makes critical decisions in the next few months. Please continue to lift her up in prayer for wisdom and peace. We are ever grateful for your heart to give. Love and blessings, The Bouthillet Family.
Memorial donations may be made to his surviving spouse, Marilyn J. Bouthillet, through Turning Point International Ministries https://www.philprivettejr.com/giving. Please put “Marilyn” in the memo of the donate page. Feel free to contact GeriAnn Privette, daughter, at 757-880-7304
