Goley Harold Allen

Goley Harold Allen, 83, passed away on August 31, 2019 in Orange Park, FL. He was born on October 26, 1935 in Wann, OK to the late Jess Allen and Hazel Franklin Allen.

After serving as an Airman in the US Navy, Goley joined the Memphis Police Department.  He obtained the rank of Captain and retired from the Memphis Police Department after 33 years of service.   

He enjoyed riding his bike, lifting weights, attending gun shows, going to movies and watching westerns, visiting car shows and at times entering his own cars for judging.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Ann Barron Allen and siblings, Jesse Allen, Irene Allen McClellan and Don Allen.

Goley is survived by his sons, Troy Dean Allen (Jan), Mark Steven Allen, and Harold Todd Allen (Heather); grandchildren, Matthew Steven Allen, Hayleigh Ann Allen, and Harper Grace Allen.

The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice and the numerous doctors and nurses who assisted their loved one and the family over the last two months leading up to Goley’s passing.

A visitation service will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073. The burial service will be Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
