Jakieme Johnson was born on August 31, 1987 at St. Vincent Hospital to Catherine D. Johnson and Rohan Brown of New York City. At the age of 13, Jakieme moved to Jacksonville, FL where he continued his schooling at Sojourner Truth. Jakieme started working at Hardee’s and shortly after he became manager.

Jakieme walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 24, 2017 at the age of 30. Jakieme was a genuine person with an enormous heart. He was the kind of person that would give you the shirt off his back. Jakieme loved his family and friends unconditionally. He will be missed by many, but never forgotten.

Leaving to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Catherine Johnson; grandmother, Dorothy White; sisters, Tamieka and Tanisha Johnson; brothers, Rahiem (Lynn) Johnson and Lamar Johnson; nieces, Kayla, Kelis, Ashanti, Melanie, Kyah and Jaylyn; nephews, Raymond, Tyress, Dondre and Shane; great uncle, Donald Simms; uncles, Archie, Darnell and Joseph; aunts, Aunt Peaches, Joretta and Arlene; cousins, Diane, Kevin, Sr., Shantae, Duke, Kel Kel, Jamel, Monae, Tyrone, Erica, Michael, Ashley, Darren, Malcolm, Davon, Lakeya, Jakeya, Jaquan, Dannyel and Terrence; extended family, a very special lady, Ms. Marylin, Jerrell, B.J, Shelatha, Steven, Jamie, Ricky, Tevin, Creep, C.T., Tim and Boo-Man. If the family left anyone out, we’re sorry. Just too many names to name, but we love you all and thank you for being in Jakieme’s life.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017,  at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m., both at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 320073, (904) 264-1233.
