Jennifer “Coach Jen” Mulvenna

Jen served her enlistment in the United States Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman, where she was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Navy Good Conduct Award, Kosovo Campaign Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and two Sea Service Deployment ribbons. Her service to our country and dedication to her family was furthered by her great contributions to our community’s youth by her love and devotion to the local soccer community.

For many years, Jen provided structure, guidance, and modeled the strength and resilience for her teams, and the community could always count on her to go the extra mile. For Coach Jen, as many knew her, it was all for the love of the game and bringing that same love to all of her ‘littles’ on her soccer teams.

By far, the largest victory Coach Jen achieved was the everlasting love and memories we have of her, in all of our hearts. She never let anyone stand alone and will always be cheering (quite loudly!) from her spot in Heaven. You can bet yourself Coach Jen found a perfect spot to always keep an eye on the game, without any worry of being told off by a referee for how loud she's hollering for her kiddos.

Jen is survived by a loving mother, Shirley Martinelli; a caring brother, Jon Collier; three amazing children, Taylor Miner, Jon Richard Mulvenna, and Liam Mulvenna; and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home.
