Jill Rachel Cosat passed away on July 8, 2017 at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, FL. She was born on May 19, 1967 in La Jolla, CA to the late Herman White and Joyce McCarty.

Jill went to Hoover High School, US Navy boot camp, “A” School (BU) and St Leo University. She joined the US Navy Seabees later working for Home Depot and the US Postal Service.

Jill attended several churches including Church of Christ in Creeds, VA, Hickory Ridge Community Church and Connect Point Apostolic Church. She enjoyed photography and sewing, and had a gift of inspiring others with her encouraging words.

The family would like to thank St. Vincent’s Hospital (Clay and Riverside), Cancer Center of North FL (Clay), Mayo Clinic, Dr. Seigel and Dr. Ossi for the exceptional care given to Jill.

Jill is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dale Schoonard and friend, Beverly.

Jill is survived by her husband, Chris Cosat; children, Jessica Hennings, Michael Herman and Jeanette Olney; grandchildren, Rachael Jill Hennings, Stella Olney and Michael Herman, Jr.; brothers, Dana and Greg White; sisters, Anita White, Debbie White, and Lee Chisulm; friends, Laurie, and Brenda.

A visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. followed by a service at 12 noon on Friday, July 14, 2017, both at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233.

Honors and interment will be at Jacksonville National Cemetery following the service.
