John Blair Obituary

John S. Blair passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in Orange Park, FL. He was born on September 13, 1945 in Monroe, MI to the late Albert Blair and Sadie Hartle.

John served in the military for 21 years, spending four years in the US Marine Corps and seventeen years in the US Air Force as a communications specialist and radio operator. He earned a business degree from Akron University.

Along with his military service, John worked at Glidden Paints, White Westinghouse, the Railroad and Janesville Products. John loved spending time with his grandchildren, playing video games, fishing, 4 wheeling, cabinet making, and smoking cigars.

John was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clarence Hall and brother-in-law, Manuel Lopez.

John is survived by his loving wife, Kimberley Blair; children, Heather Blair, Jessica Williams, and Bradley Brown; grandchildren, Bailey, Shaiyen, Olivia, Gabriel, Jimmy, Noah, Josh, Jr., Kayden, Athena, Ariah and Serinity; great-grandchildren, Haydon, Harper and baby Fannin (on the way); sisters, Sadie Lopez and Shirley Johnson; friends, Austin, Lee, Claude, Rick, Tim and Steve.

The family would like to thank Haven Hospice for the special care given to their loved one, John.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Haven Hospice, 745 Blanding Boulevard, Orange Park, FL 32065.

A graveside service will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL at a later date.
