John Frederick Silliman

John Frederick Silliman, 75, passed away on June 8, 2019 in Orange Park, FL. He was born on November 28, 1943 in Alliance, OH to the late William Paul Silliman and Mary Kathleen Silliman.

John served 22 years with United States Navy achieving rank as Chief Petty Officer. He was a member of the North Benton Presbyterian Church in Ohio and enjoyed woodworking and mechanical projects.

John is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Melissa Silliman.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Silliman; son, John “Johnny” Silliman; grandchildren, Alex, Ashley, Michael and Olivia Silliman; brother, Chris Silliman; sister, Joanne Ginder; nephews, Justin and Shawn Silliman, and Phil Ginder; nieces, Judith Keeler and Jill Dotts; and many friends and other family members.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. both at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073 (904) 264-1233. Interment with military honors will follow the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
