Karen C. Sonnier

Our beloved Karen Celina Sonnier went to join the Lord on
August 10, 2018.

Karen was born to Connie Ray Sonnier (Desvignes) and
Wade Anthony Sonnier, on November 10, 1982 at the
Malcom Grow Medical Center on Andrews Airforce Base
in Maryland.

She worked as a Human Resources Manager with ING Group,
a multinational banking and financial services corporation
in Jacksonville, Florida.

Her first love and passion in life has always been caring for
children.  The desire Karen shared for her family and loved
 ones was immense. Karen’s foundation to care for children was
gained during her studies at Florida Community College
of Jacksonville. Karen’s ability to care flourished as she
transferred her love to her nieces, nephews, godchildren and
so many more.  Her unconditional love has been molded
into the Leadership and Teaching Fellowship for so
many to emulate.

 Karen is preceded in death by her mother, Connie Ray Desvignes.

Karen is survived by her loving father: Wade, wife Patricia;
brothers: Dan, wife Lizette, Derrick, wife Cindy;
Wade, wife Nikki.; nieces: Kelise, Taliyah,
 Makayla, Aleksia and Journey; nephews: Steven, Jalen,
Jasiah, Daniel, Jaxen and Alek; godchildren: Jalen,
Maurlicia, Kelise, Jasiah, Jerome Jr., and Lil Derrick.

Karen did not allow Kidney Disease to encumber her drive
to love and live. She continued to work for the Lord to the end.
On Friday evening, August 10, 2018 Karen heard the Lord call
her name and she answered. She has gone home to be with
 the Lord. Her work here on earth is done and
she is now at peace.
