Mary Lee Geiger was born to the late Adair Bell and Dellamae Thompson in Claxton, Georgia. She was raised by her grandmother Katie Mae Thompson and attended the local schools.
Mary and her family moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she married the late Charlie Geiger. She worked as a Nursing Assistant at a local hospital.
Mary was a free sprit, mostly doing everything the MARY way. She loved to go fishing, she was a great cook, loved sports and was a fan of the Florida Gators. She loved to dance and listen to new and old school music. She also enjoyed the company of her friends and family. She played a huge role in the upbringing of all of her grandchildren. Mary began her spiritual life path at a young age and was a member of First Baptist Church
of Oakland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, daughter, Vickie and grandson, Ferronte, Sr.
Mary leaves to cherish her lovely memory, her daughters, Paula, Sharon, and Charlotte (Eric); sons, Timothy, Clyde, and Dexter (Glenda); stepson, Stephen Geiger; sister, Loretta Stewart (Dennis); grandchildren, Nicole (Calvin), Kamaria (Jonathan), Cytheria, Charde (Shawnya), Princina (Andre), Clifford (Jasmine), Patrick, Thomas, Dexter, Jr., Chaaliyah, Derrion, Javarus (KaiSma), and Davarus. Also, her great grandchildren, Robert, Chaneria, Kiaziyah, Precious, Donnell, Ferronte, Kimora, Shante, Kimoni, Lawan, Jonathan, Ferryn, Sha’nari, Nyla, Cavari, Caval, Shawnya, Jr., and Kiyler; four great-great grandchildren, Sean, Deontra, Kalei and Kaiya; cousins, James, Sylvia, Alfreda, Chad Thompson, Roshawn Sloan, Janice Wells, Lawanda, LaRae Hendrix; devoted companion, Lawrence Argrett; devoted friend, Charlean Mitchell and a host of other sorrowing relatives
and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 264-1233. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m following the visitation at 10:00 a.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home.
