Stanley A. Lomax, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 25, 2019. He was born on November 3, 1957 to the late Stanley A. Sr. and Thelma G. Lomax, in Brooklyn, New York.

He graduated from George Westinghouse High School in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating, he enlisted into the United States Navy, where he progressed through the ranks to achieve the top rank of Command Master Chief. Stanley retired in 2007 after 30 years of distinguished service to his country.

Stan met and married Denise Watson while serving in the Navy in Orlando, Florida. To their loving union of 35 years, one daughter was born.

Stan devoted himself for 9 years to the ministry at Impact Church of Jacksonville, Florida. He prepared himself for the ministry by attending Laymen’s Bible College and served faithfully in the Relentless Teen Ministry.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Lomax; father, Stanley A. Lomax, Sr. and mother, Thelma G. Lomax.

Left to cherish his memory are wife, Denise Lomax; daughter, Ebonee Lomax; brother and sister in love, Larry (Brenda) Robinson; sister, Stephanie Lomax; mother in love, Sylvia Watson; brother in love and sister in love, Ronnie (Deidre) Watson; sister in love and brother in love, Lorie (Otis) May; daughters and nieces, Sharon Gibson and Taneisha Vereen; sons and nephews, Gerald Foggy and Mataugh Lomax and a host of special uncles, aunts, nephews and sons, nieces and daughters, cousins, Gods children, and friends.

A visitation will be on Monday, March 4, 2019,  5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Both services will be at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsey Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 264-1233. Interment with military honors will follow the service at 1:30 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218.
