Timmy Willis

Timmy “Tim” Willis passed away on March 18, 2019 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on July 17, 1960 in Vardaman, MS to Louemmie Willis and the late Jimmie L. Willis.

Tim served 11 years active duty in the United States Navy and retired as an aviation mechanic at NAS Jacksonville. He was a member of Eureka Lodge No. 1 (Masonic Lodge) and held the position of Senior Deacon. Tim was also a member of Norwood Community Church, Jacksonville, FL and loved building and creating with his hands, fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie L. Willis and brother, Darnell Willis.

Tim is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Willis; children, Robert Anthony (Lauren), Brittani, and Courtney (Raynard); grandchildren, Kunauri, Kyra, Khalea, and Kaleb; mother, Louemmie Willis ; in laws, Vallie and Essie Hiner; brothers, Roy Dale Willis (Anita) and William Hiner (Kelly); sisters, Wynette Kimble (Stanley), Lisa Gaston (Paul), and Betty Pickens (Earl); and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, Norwood Community Church family, brothers of Eureka Lodge No. 1 and sisters of Delta Chi Chi Nursing Sorority.

The family would like to thank the American Renal Associates and Baptist Home Care Nurses for the special care and kindness given to Timmy.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and the funeral service will be on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. following the visitation starting at 3:00 p.m. Services will be held at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 264-1233.

Interment with military honors will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie  Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218.
