Warren Miller Obituary

Warren Eugene Miller was born August 1, 1998 to loving parents Drs. Deevid and Clorinde Miller. Warren was the youngest of two children. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandfathers, Mr. Warren H. “Jack” Miller and Dr. Eugene Elmore Christian, both of whom he was named after.

Warren was a loving and kind young man, well known throughout his community and school. He enjoyed playing with his brother and a host of cousins. At an early age, he showed a love for sports including soccer, football, and basketball. But he developed a strong passion for basketball and became an excellent player. In addition to being an excellent basketball player, Warren was an outdoorsman who loved animals. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and traveling with his family.

He received his primary and secondary education in Florida. He attended St. Johns Country Day School, Green Cove Springs Junior High School, and Fleming Island High School where he graduated May 2017. He played basketball for Orange Park Gators, Leroy Butler Foundation (LBF), Clay County Hoyas, Green Cove Springs Junior High Cougars, Team Marreese Speights (TMS), and Fleming Island High School. After graduation, he played basketball with Washington Academy Prep School in Greenville, North Carolina and National Team Sports Institute in Orlando, Florida.

He was Christened at Bethel Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, and later he accepted Christ at Shiloh Church in Orange Park, Florida. Our beloved Warren will be remembered for his selflessness and his outgoing, energetic, caring, and loving personality. He loved people and enjoyed his family and friends. Warren’s large notable presence could warm any room.

Warren departed this life Sunday, August 5, 2018 in an automobile accident in Jacksonville, Florida. This faithful “Child of God” is survived by his loving parents, Drs. Deevid and Clorinde Miller; one brother, Deevid Richard “Lil Dee” Miller; one nephew, Deallo Kova Miller; paternal grandmother, Wynetta C. “Mother Y” Miller of Greenwood, South Carolina; his maternal grandmother, Ruth Mae Christian of Orange Park, Florida and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He also leaves to cherish his memory, Godparents Michael Williams and Dreama Williams.
