Anita Angela Cirino, 91, gained her angel wings on August 3, 2023. She was born on September 17, 1931, in Mayfield, Ohio, also known as Little Italy.
Anita embraced her role as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked as a cashier in Ohio for twenty years and was also a seamstress for her husband’s shoe repair business. Anita was a great Italian cook and was known for her meatballs, pasta and pies.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, Julius Cirino; parents, Jerry and Josephine Gattozzi and two sisters, Mary Jane and Emma.
Anita is survived by her three children, Michael Cirino (Peggy), Patty Cirino Kraut (Eric) and Jerry Cirino (Elaine); eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Anita’s life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233.
A reception will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sullivan Hall, 7190 Highway 17 South, Fleming Island, Florida, 32003, following the service. The interment will be held at a later date.
