Anne Kail Obituary

Anne Pattillo Kail, 60, passed away on December 29, 2022 in Jacksonville, FL.  She was born on March 24, 1962, to Andrew G. Pattillo and Mary Alice Pattillo in Ocala, FL.

Anne attended elementary and high school in Ocala, where she was a competitive swimmer, a cheerleader at Forest High School and an avid runner.  She had a wide circle of friends who will remember her as an outgoing, loyal and compassionate friend.

Anne attended University of Florida where she received a BA in Physical Education and an MA in Public Relations.  She also met her future husband, Tom, in Graduate School at the University of Florida.

After getting married at First United Methodist Church of Ocala, Anne and Tom lived in Atlanta, Tampa, Palm Harbor, Jupiter, Sugar Land, TX and finally Fleming Island, FL.  She worked in the Public Relations and Education fields for numerous years until she took some time off to help raise her 3 sons.  Upon returning to Florida, she put her excellent writing skills to use as a freelance Grant Writer.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Tom; sons, Patrick (Brandie) of Houston, TX, Christian of Washington, DC and Nathan of Fleming Island, FL.  She also leaves behind her mother, Mary Alice Pattillo of Ocala, FL; brothers, Pat (Donna) of Redondo Beach, CA, Jim (Amy) of Birmingham, AL and sisters, Margaret (Wayne) of St. Augustine, FL and Nancy (Dale) of Ocala, FL.  In addition, she leaves behind numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins and a large circle of friends who will also remember her vivacious and energizing spirit.

She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew G. Pattillo of Ocala, FL

A memorial service celebrating Anne’s life will be held on Saturday January 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Orange Park United Methodist Church, 2051 Park Ave, Orange Park, FL 32073.
