Annie Wilma (Cummings) Thompkins

Annie Wilma Thompkins, 87, passed away on May 23, 2026 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born on June 3, 1938 in Jacksonville to the late Rosco and Annie B. (Fennell) Cummings.

Annie Wilma received her high school diploma and Cosmetology License. She worked for Prudential Insurance Company for 26 years and was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, serving as Family of God, President.

Family members preceding Annie Wilma in passing were her parents, Rosco and Annie B. Cummings; daughter, Janet McWhite; and grandparents, Edward Hilliard Fennell and Mary Ann Fennell.

Annie Wilma is survived by her loving husband, Melvin Thompkins; children, Raymond McWhite, Jr., Michael D. McWhite (Mrs. Barbara McWhite), Ronald W. McWhite and Susan L. (Hayward, III) Bullard; grandchildren, Tanya Simmons McWhite, Raymond (Monica) McWhite, Marshae McWhite, Michael McWhite, Jr., Michael (Jamila) Mainor, Jr., Ronald McWhite, Ronnisha McWhite, Daisy (Reginald) Parks, Christopher Walker, Reynarda McWhite, Antonio McWhite and Daniel McWhite; bonus daughter, Mrs. Barbara Jones; 22 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
