Anthony Brown

Anthony Brown, 59, passed away on August 6, 2020 in Orange Park, FL. He was born on November 6, 1960 in Green Cove Springs, FL, to the late Cobby Brown, Sr, and Carrie Smith-Brown

He graduated from R.C. Bannerman High School in Green Cove Springs, and worked for the Town of Orange Park, Public Works Department for many years. Anthony, lovingly known as “Doc,” lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed his family and friends, especially his Pete and Bertha; wife, Jackie Brown; sitting out under the tree with special friends, Johnny Davis and Gerald Jefferson and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He also loved cutting grass.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Cobby Brown, Jr.; grandparents, Peter Smith; and Mae Ida Parker Smith.

Anthony is survived by his devoted wife and best friend, Jackie Brown; step-son, Terrance Davis; grandson, Terrance Johnson; siblings, Alvin Brown (Wanda) Middleburg, Alan Brown (Tara) Orange Park, Minister Bobby Brown (Denise) Daytona, FL, Deacon Gregory Brown (Terry) Daytona, Willie J. Brown, Bertha Brown-Williams and Rose Brown all of Orange Park; sisters-in law, Angela Magee, Cassandra King, Tricilla Porter, Katie Brown and Rose Vaughn; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery, 1040 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073.
