Antwanne Terrell Shanks, Jr.

Antwanne Terrell Shanks, Jr. was born September 29, 2002 to Carnishia Williams and the late Antwanne Terrell Shanks, Sr. in Orange Park, FL.

Antwanne was a very charming and outgoing person with a smile that could light up any room. He played football for Orange Park Athletic Association from the age of 5 to 12 years old, where he dominated the field playing both offense and defense positions many of his games. Antwanne took advantage of the many opportunities awarded to him by having a large and dedicated family. Antwanne learned how to paint while working summers under the direction of his grandfather, Keith Shanks, Sr. Later he began to travel with his aunt, Talithia Shanks, learning how to be a Sterile Processing Technician. Most of all, Antwanne loved his role of big brother and took the role very seriously. He always made sure to call, text and spend time with his siblings. He enjoyed music, water activities, football and hanging out with his best friend, David.

Antwanne’s demise was on Friday, October 23, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Antwanne Terrell Shanks, Sr.; grandmother, Brenda C. Williams, and uncle, Keith Tyrone Shanks, Jr.

Antwanne leaves to cherish his memory, mother, Carnishia Williams; brothers, Nartorian Lee, Dartorian Lee, Keith Shanks, III and Ja’twanne Shanks; sisters, Ca’siya Inmon and San’Tiyanah Young; grandparents, Keith Shanks, Sr. (Joy), Cynthia Ford Shanks and Rudolph Williams (Barbara); uncles, Andre Brittingham (Reid), Tremaine Brittingham, Zacchaeus Williams and Kiarie Williams; aunts, Tadashia Williams, Talithia Shanks (Gina) and Shameka Bost (Lionell), as well as a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 30, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and the funeral service on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., both at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073.

At Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home we will continue to follow all CDC and Florida Department of Health social distances guidelines : No more than 50 family members and friends may physically be present in the funeral home at any time.
