Barbara Fletcher, a loving wife and mother, died on Friday, February 28, 2020 in Orange Park, FL. She was born in 1953 in Troy, MO, to Robert and Rosetta (nee Taylor) Lester, and graduated from McCluer High School in St. Louis, MO. After High School, Barbara attended Fluorescent Community College before going to work at McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Corporation is St. Louis where she had a rewarding and successful career of 32 years. After retiring she moved with her husband to Magnolia Point Golf and Country Club in Green Cove Springs, FL.
She was a member of the MPG&CC women’s club, VFW women’s Auxiliary where she was involved in social, community and charity projects. Barbara dearly loved her family, traveling, good food and wine, enjoyed yoga, entertaining, socializing, going to movies and plays with friends, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Fletcher; daughters, Chelsea Fletcher, Melissa Haskins; granddaughters, Alexis and Cora; sister, Patsy; nieces, Jodie and Hattie and nephews, Casey and Darrin, along with several grandnieces and grandnephews, all of whom live in Missouri and brought great joy to her throughout her life. Services will be held In Elsberry, MO at a later date.
She will rest in the Taylor family burial plot in Elsberry, MO.
