Barbara Jean Pritchett

Barbara Jean Pritchett was born on May 22, 1972 in Sanford, Florida, to Lonnie James Brister and Betty Jean Brister.

The family moved to Orange Park, Florida, when Barbara was six years old. She graduated from Orange Park High School in 1992. She married her best friend David Pritchett on November 16, 2001.

As a licensed daycare provider, Barbara proudly started Pritchett Family Daycare in 2001. Over the years, she loved hundreds of children as her own.

Barbara’s favorite past time activities included spending time with her best friend David, cheering for the Florida Gators and Jacksonville Jaguars, fishing, cooking, dancing, motorcycling and crocheting. She loved spending time with her beautiful dogs, Molly McButter, Daisey Mae and Roxie.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Lonnie James Brister, and grandmother, Bessie Lee Anderson.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory, husband, David Pritchett; children, Serina Shantell Brister Smith, Khalil Jovon Bernard Gatlin, Tevin Jermaine Pritchett and David T. Pritchett, Jr.; grandchildren, Saniya Smith, Jovon Gatlin and Alonie Smith; mother, Betty Jean Brister; sister, Deloris A. Brown; niece, Shawntay Shawnell Brown; nephews, Bruce Leon Brown and Gary Marvin Garrett, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, godchildren and friends.
