Barbara Peola Waithe, 74, passed away on June 11, 2022 in Orange Park, FL. She was born on March 2, 1948 in Georgetown, Guyana, to Percival Sampson and Rebecca Frederick.
Barbara was a member of First Church of God in Middleburg, FL. She enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking and interior decorating.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Lloyd Waithe; daughter, Adrienne (Hugh) Cummings; grandchildren, Jael and Joseph; brothers, Leyland, Compton, Desmon and Percival (Jr); sisters, Vilma and Eulene; nephews, Troy, Roger, Jomo, Fabian, Royston, Adrian and Kenny; nieces, Fabiola, Alleta, Nichette, Carol, Ronette, Brenhill, Kim and Juneann; cousins, June, Wendy, Nicolous, Dawn, Willdris, Qubert and James; friends, Joy, Paline, Sonia, Jackie, Lynett, Beverly and Ellen.
A viewing will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. both at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233.
