Bernard L. Naftal, Jr. passed away on January 18, 2025, in Orange Park, FL. He was born on March 9, 1948, in York, PA, to the late Bernard L. Naftal, Sr. and Anna Mae Miller Naftal.
Bernie graduated from York High School in 1967. He retired from Bellsouth after 30 years. His interests and hobbies included boating, fishing, hunting, bowling, and riding his motorcycle. Along with those things, he enjoyed cooking, attending to his garden, and taking many vacations with friends and family. Bernie served with United States Marine Corps.
Bernie was preceded in death by his mother and father, his sisters, Sharon Stram, Patty Miller, Cindy Slinker and brother, Ted Naftal.
Bernie is survived by loving wife, Barbara Naftal; daughter, Jennifer Maqueira; son in law, Pavel Maqueira; grandson, Nickolas Maqueira; brother, Michael Naftal; sisters, Donna Kindig and Francis Wagner; numerous nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233.
