Cameron Emanuel Culver, a bright and lively 21-year-old young man, passed away on Saturday, March15, 2025, in St. Johns County, Florida. Though his time on earth was brief, the depth of his impact will echo through the lives of all who knew and loved him.
Cameron was born on January 15, 2004, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Cinqúe Culver and Rachel Culver (née Lee). He was affectionately known to many as "Cam Cam," a name that carried the warmth of his personality and the affection of his family.
Cameron graduated from Richard Wright Public Charter School in Washington, DC, where he cultivated a love for learning and creative expression. After graduation, he enrolled at Prince George's Community College, where he pursued his lifelong passion for aviation and a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He continued his studies consistently, taking online courses while living in Orange Park, Florida and working as a server. His ambition reached far beyond the ground—his heart was in thes kies.
Cameron’s skills and interests were as expansive and multidimensional as he was. He was an artist with a lens, capturing emotion and story through photography. He skated with freedom, read mythology and progression fantasy with awe, and immersed himself in music of all genres—often singing to himself with a voice that revealed both soul and joy. He was a devoted gamer, an anime enthusiast, and above all, a connector. Cam’s true gift was the way he cultivated relationships, engaging others in thoughtful conversation that made them feel deeply seen.
A deeply spiritual soul, Cameron made a personal decision to be baptized at the age of eight, reflecting his enduring faith in Jesus Christ. He embodied his beliefs not only in words but through the compassion he showed others. He was known to patiently speak with and support the homeless when his heart called him to, responding to quiet moments of grace with action.
Cameron was a beloved son to Cinqúe and Rachel, and a cherished bonus child to Sharon Culver(Cinque) and Travis Stevenson Sr. (Rachel). He was a devoted brother to his sisters: Isis, Jade, Zarea, Kirsten, Charity, and Stephanie; and his brothers: Marcell (aka MJ) and Travis Stevenson Jr. He was also an incredible uncle to his niece Ivory-Jae (daughter of Jade) and nephew Azhar (son of Isis). His love for family was boundless. He found joy in the small gestures—walking his sister Jade to the store late at night, teaching MJ to mow the lawn, and scolding them gently when they acted before he could offer help. He delighted in bringing laughter and comfort to others through his warmth, humor, respect, and generosity.
Cameron was the treasured grandson of the late Clarence Culver (1953–2011) and Stephanie Mosley(formerly Culver), as well as Pamela Edwards and John McDole Sr. He was also the great-grandson of Delores Thompson, who continues to bless our family with her presence and wisdom, and the great-great-grandson of Julia Watts. On his mother’s side, he was the beloved great-grandson of the late David and Rachel Lee. Each of these ancestors and elders played a meaningful role in Cameron’s life, shaping the layers of foundation from which he grew.
Cameron was a deeply thoughtful and steadfast soul, known for his quiet strength, generous heart, and insightful mind. He lived with humility and purpose, always choosing to speak through action rather than attention. His friendships were sacred, and his chosen family expansive. He is survived by his parents, siblings, grandparents, great-grandparent, aunts, uncles, extended family, and a large network of friends who were, in every way that mattered, family too.
Cameron’s legacy is one of quiet courage, integrity, creativity, and love. He brought light into every space, not by commanding it, but by illuminating the goodness in others. He had a way of arriving exactly when he was needed—without fanfare, simply with presence and calm.
