Carl Louis Alford

Carl L. Alford passed away on November 27, 2024 in Orange Park, FL. He was born on December 5, 1935 in Lake City, FL, to the late John William Alford and Louise Skinner Alford Allen.

Carl earned his bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville University and enjoyed working, landscaping his yard and hunting.

Family members preceding Carl in death are his parents; wife, Melba J. Alford; son, Gregory C. Alford and daughter, Karla J. Alford.

Carl is survived by his children, Portia R. Ferrell (Earnest J.) and Amanda C. Williams; grandchildren, Jonathan C. Ferrell (Brandice), Christopher P. Ferrell (Susan), Kasey R. Cade (Almon), Caleb J. Williams (Winnie), Josh Weltzbarker and Jordan Weltzbarker; great-grandchildren, Jameson Ferrell, Gregory Ferrell and Taytum Williams; brother, Wayne Alford  (Joan) and a host of other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 264-1233.
