Cassandra F. Jones

Cassandra Felicia Hall Jones transitioned after a long illness on October 17, 2023. Cassandra was born on December 6, 1961, in Jacksonville, Florida. She is the daughter of Alvin (deceased) and Margaret Hall. Cassandra or “Cass,” as she is affectionately known, was educated in local schools. She is a graduate of William M. Raines High School (class of 1979), where she played the clarinet as a member of the marching band. She attended Florida State College at Jacksonville, where she received her Associate of Science degree in nursing.

As a young nursing student, she met and married Jeffrey Jones (deceased) in 1983. Together they raised four children: Damien Rashad Hall (Cherleta), Jaleesa Vanessa Jones Ware (André), Bryan LeVar Jones (Dellary LaShaun), and Jasmine Sharneé Renita Ann Jones (Shahira).

In addition to her children, Cass leaves behind a devoted mother, Margaret Hall; sisters Rosalyn Amaro (Ken) and Cynthia Hayes. She loved her mother-in-law, Mrs. Jeanette Jones, and her sister-in-law, Valerie Jones. She enjoyed visiting with her brothers-in-law: Kenneth Jones, David Jones, and Ronnie Jones. She sincerely loved her grandchildren: Chylah Ford, Koari Davis, Meah Jones, Cassie Jones, Anessa Ware, Elijah Ware, and Chaliah Hall. She had a chance to meet her great-granddaughter, Skylah. She was always available to give advice and to spend time with her nieces: Shanika Hayes, Deanea Hayes, Shanlencia Hayes Robinson (William), Felicia Amaro Hagan (Marvin), Meagan Amaro Awoyemi (Bukola), Courtney Amaro, and Margaret Brianna Amaro.

She had a host of friends including Ann and Joe Mosley and Priscilla Williams. Cass will was loved by many and will be missed by all who loved her.

A visitation will be held on Thurday, October 26, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Aaron nd Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 264-1233. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Trumpet In Zion Fellowship, 6007 Seaboard Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32244.
