Cristina M. Cornioli

Cristina M. Cornioli, 85, of Calvizzano, Naples, Italy passed away on September 24, 2022 in Green Cove Springs, Florida.

Cristina was preceded in death by husband, Raymond Cornioli, brothers; Giuseppe, Salvatore, and Antonio.

Cristina is survived by her children Cassandra, Catherina, and Cynthia; brothers and sisters; Teresa, Rita, and Costabile; granddaughter, Rhianna and great-grandson, Alexander.

Mom traveled with Dad and two babies to America without knowledge of English but quickly learned how to adapt by watching her soap operas. We are just glad she didn’t follow their examples of how to speak and act from General Hospital… She always said, if you are going to live somewhere you could at least learn the language. She loved her family and friends. We will miss her laughs and that special blessed bread she always used to ward off the hurricanes. Hopefully she will continue to throw some down on us. We always had great times watching sports with her, of course you had to be prepared for the extra excitement of Mom’s reactions.

Good times, we will all miss her dearly.

A funeral mass will be held Monday, October 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 1773 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32210. Burial will follow at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, 904-264-1233 is serving the family.
