It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Cynthia Lee Stone of Orange Park, Florida. She left this world on October 23, 2025. Cindy loved to spend all her time with her husband and their four dogs. She was an avid reader, loved gardening outside, and watching any of her three sons play sports.
Cindy was born January 2, 1952, in Saginaw, Michigan to Allen and Barbara Sherman. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Stone. She is survived by her three sons, Tyler, Ryan (Cassandra), and Donald James; her granddaughters Sadie and Stella; and her sister, Kathy.
After finishing high school, she worked a few jobs before becoming employed by Florida steel, where she ended up meeting her husband, Don. Cindy then moved up to Jacksonville in the late 80’s where she remained. She worked as a semi-truck dispatcher for many years until she retired in 2007.
Cindy was a very loving and caring mother/grandmother. She loved keeping up with family traditions. Christmas cookies with Nanna, cooking every imaginable side for thanksgiving, and super bowl get togethers. Her most treasured tradition was midnight Christmas Eve church service. She would try to find a new church every Christmas Eve and would always want her family there with her.
