Corporal Dajuan M. Cornish was born on 9 December 1998 in Jacksonville, Florida. He entered the United States Army on 15 January 2019. After graduating AIT, Corporal Cornish was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 1st Air Defense Artillery Regiment ac Camp Carroll in the Republic of Korea. Following his tour in the Republic of Korea, Corporal Cornish served in Alpha Battery, 4th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment at Fort Cavazos, Texas, with whom he deployed to Bahrain. Following the deployment, he was assigned to Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion, 1st Air Defense Artillery Regiment. During his time in Charlie Battery, Corporal Cornish served as a Patriot Launching Station Operator and Reload Crewmember in defense of critical assets across Okinawa, Japan.
Awards and achievements include two Army Commendation Medals, three Army Achievement Medals, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon.
He is survived by his spouse, Karolina Cornish, married 20 November 2021 and his son, Kason S. Cornish, born 7 July 2022.
