Deacon Lester Outlaw

Deacon Lester Outlaw was born in Wrightsville, Georgia on April 2, 1935 to the late Hattie Clark. He was the only boy of six children, Lester moved to Jacksonville at the age of 16. He later worked at Gold Merit Packing Company and Reichhold Fiberglass, Inc. until he retired.

Lester was wed to Linda L. Outlaw on August 16, 1963 and to this union five children were born. Lester also had two children from a previous relationship totaling seven children in all. He was a faithful member of Second Bethel Baptist Church and served as a deacon.

Lester was preceded in death by his mother, Hattie Clark.

Lester is survived by his loving wife, Linda Kohn Outlaw; children, Lester L. Outlaw (Marilyn), Anginora Tucker, Javan Outlaw (Glori), Joseph Outlaw (Erika), Patrick Outlaw, Eric Outlaw and Ava Hagins (Paul); sisters, Eva Mae Irvin, Ruby Clark, Elizabeth Kellam, Delores Fields and Janice Mae Clark; brother-in-law, Emmett Kohn; sisters-in-law, Zena Lee and Rosa Grant; 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and sorrowing friends.
