Mr. Eddie L. Spears, 100, of Fleming Island, FL (since 2010) originally from Chicago, IL, died at 2:25 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Haven - Custead Hospice Care Center, Orange Park, FL.
He was an ordained Reverend and Army World War II Veteran. His Life Celebration will be held Friday, April 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at First Timothy Baptist Church, 12103 Biscayne Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32218, Pastor F. D. Newbill.
Surviving are his three daughters, Magnolia (Carl) Abrams, Theresa (Dwayne) Lemons and Anita Lee (Daryl) Pierce, 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, nine nieces, six nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada B. (Franklin) Lampkins-Spears (14 years) and his wife, Evelyn (Hopkins) Spears (50 years), his parents, Mosco and Hettie (O‘Field) Spears, three sisters, five brothers, and eldest granddaughter, Carla Annette Franklin-Ayers.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Pastor and First Timothy Baptist Church family, Pastor and Calvary Missionary Baptist Church family, family members, friends, and the staff of Haven Hospice. Funeral Arrangement entrusted to Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home.
