Eddie B. Toney, Jr.

Eddie B. Toney, Jr. passed away on July 13, 2025 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on August 28, 1960 in Troy, Alabama, to Mary L. Toney and the late Eddie B. Toney, Sr.

Eddie received his high school diploma and served 20 years with the United States Navy and 20 years in Civil Service with NADEP. He was a member of Impact Church in Jacksonville and enjoyed fishing, the Jacksonville Jaguars and running, including marathons. He was a man of many friends.

Family members preceding Eddie in death were his father, Eddie B. Toney, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Annie and Cleveland Johnson and paternal grandparents, Eddie Lee and Lois Johnson.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Stephanie Diggs Lee-Toney; children, Melvin Lee, Jr. (Tiffany) and Ashley N. Lee; mother, Mary L. Toney; grandchildren, Melvin Lee, III, Londynn-Ivy Sincere Lee and Aries True Lee; brother, Jimmy L. Toney; godson, Alex Dixon and a host of other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17,  2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m and Graveside Service on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 12 noon at Jacksonville Memory Gardens.
