Edward R. Patterson passed away on May 27, 2022 in Orange Park, FL. He was born on January 6, 1930 in Montgomery County, TN, to the late William Henry Patterson and Louise Chester Patterson.
Edward served for 28 years with the United States Air Force and worked 13 years for the Dynalectron Corp. He was a member of Kingsley Avenue Church of Christ in Orange Park and previously served many years as an elder of Northside Church of Christ in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Edward’s hobbies and interest included, aircraft, photography and videography, fishing, boating and working as a volunteer usher at Thrasher Horne Theatre.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Henry; sisters, Dorothy and Mae; wife, Vivian; son, David and step-mother, Hazel.
Edward is survived by his children, Karen Gayle Patterson and Keith Alan Patterson; grandchildren, Amber Patterson, Heather Patterson, Krystle England and Kayla Paidousis; great-grandchildren, Catherine Sequens, Ethan Boatenhammer, Nate England, Natalie England, Nash Paidousis and Jovie Paidousis; brothers, Robert Patterson and Oliver Patterson; special friend, Ann Mayfield and many relatives and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to Haven Hospice or your favorite military or veteran’s organization.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. with a memorial service following at 2:00 p.m. both held at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233. Interment with military honors, is scheduled for July 4, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
