Edwin Vandallen Haire, Jr., 69, passed away on April 19, 2025 in Orange Park, FL. He was born on August 18, 1955, in Houston, TX to the late Edwin Vandallen Haire, Sr. and Alma Onita (Burch) Haire.
Edwin served with the Unites States Navy for twenty years. He honorably retired as a licensed machinist from the U.S. Navy and Department of Defense. Edwin served during several campaigns overseas and was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal (2); Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (5); Navy “E” Ribbon (2); Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; Good Conduct Medal (5); National Defense Medal (2); Southwest Asia Service Medal; Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon; Expert Pistol Marksman Ribbon; Expert Rifle Marksman Ribbon; Navy Achievement Medal; (2); Kuwait Liberation Medal, and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist
He will be remembered for his love of family and animals, being a BBQ Grill Master, and fishing.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Vandallen Haire, Sr. and Alma Onita (Burch) Haire and paternal and fraternal grandparents.
Surviving Edwin is his loving wife, Thitima Yoskrid; stepdaughters, Judy Daniel and Oradee Tina Yoskrid; granddaughters, Serria A. Yoskrid and Meghan L. Clark; great-grands, Kami and Kameron; nephews, Jonathan Hill and Sebastian Hill; niece, Parichart Sandy Floyd; special sister and brother-in-law, Marc Allen and Kanjana Tungkasiri, and a host of other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 264-1233.
