Emory Jenkins, Jr. was born January 25, 1956 in Oakfield, GA to the late Emory Proctor and Annie Bell Jenkins.
He graduated from Dougherty High School, class of 1974, in Albany, GA. He furthered his education obtaining a Bachelor and Master’s degree from Colorado Technical University.
Emory served in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. His military career ended with his retirement from the U.S. Navy.
Some of his military awards include: Humanitarian Service Medal (2), Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (4), Navy Expedition Medal (2), Meritorious Unit Commendation (1), Battle “E” Ribbon (2), National Defense Service Medal (2), Navy and Marine Overseas Service Ribbon (4), Navy Achievement Medal (2), Good Conduct Medal, (3), Army Service Stripe (1).
He married Rosiline D. Jenkins on July 17, 1982 at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Middleburg, FL.
He is preceded in death by his father, Emory Proctor; mother, Annie Bell Jenkins; daughter, Thameekia Jenkins and paternal and maternal grandparents.
Cherishing his memory are his wife, Rosiline Jenkins; son, Frederick Parker; sisters, Pearlie Jenkins; Sabrina Williams (late Mack Williams, III) and Sheri Jenkins. As well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family, and friends. Special thanks and recognition to cousin, Eugene “Buddy” Jenkins (Dorothy).
A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. both at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073.
