Erminia Vasquez

It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Erminia “Minnie” Vasquez on July 11, 2026, in Orange Park, Florida. Born on December 11, 1945, in Adrian, Michigan, to the late Roberto and Guadalupe Lopez Villalon, Minnie lived a life rich in love, laughter, music, and cherished family moments.

Minnie’s heart was always full of joy. She had a deep passion for Spanish music, which filled her home with rhythm and warmth. She loved the excitement of casinos, the simple pleasure of shopping, and most of all, gathering with family and friends over good food and conversation. Whether dancing to her favorite songs or sharing stories around the table, Minnie brought light and love wherever she went.

She is survived by her devoted son, Simon Vasquez, Jr.; her beloved grandchildren Angelica, Maci, Ellina, Aval, Emmy, Anthony, Sammy, Desmon, Malyah, and Simon Michael; and her precious great-grandchildren Juliana, Emmanuel, Ellina, Ava, Rory, Mireya, Avion, and Amora; brother Harry Villalon; sisters Angie Quintanilla, Mary Martinez, and Sylvia Correa; along with many dear nieces and nephews; Starting with her favorite niece…Raquel, Raymond, Rafael, Noe, Mindy, Missy, Melonie, Rachael, Trisha, Andrea, Genevie, Lupita, Michelle, and Michael, cousin; Josie Pena; best friends; Angie Middlebrooks, Cathie Villalon, and many other friends and family who were blessed to have known her. Minnie’s love extended far and wide, touching every life she touched with kindness and generosity.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Simon Vasquez, Sr.; her son Samuel Vasquez; her parents; brothers Paul, Robert, and Jesse; niece Rosa Quintanilla; nephew Pauly; and other dear family members.

Minnie’s legacy is one of unwavering love and beautiful memories. She taught us that life is best lived with an open heart, a ready smile, and arms wide open to family. As we remember her, may we carry forward her spirit of joy and togetherness.

Minnie will forever remain in our hearts — a guiding light, a source of comfort, and the heart of our family. Her spirit dances on in every melody, every gathering, and every act of love we share.
