Eura Mae Barnes

Eura Mae Barnes was a native of Pinetta, Florida and was born July 21, 1934. Her parents were Jody W. and Aloise Bevel, both of whom preceded her in death.

Eura was a longtime member of over 50 years of Dayspring Baptist Church and remained loyal until health restricted her attendance. She was a self- employed beautician and owned and operated Neighborhood Beauty Shop for over 50 years.

Also preceding her in death were her husband, Renelter Barnes; and her eldest son, Eugene Barnes; siblings, Mamie Lou, Lilie, Ella Mae, Ruby, James Joe “Sonny,” Cora, Gwendolyn, Annie B., Katuria, Mattie and William.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: children , Kelvin Barnes; brothers, Randolph Bevel (Emma), Thomas Bevel (Ernestine) and Jodie Bevel (Edna); daughter in law Patricia Barnes; sisters-in-law Bernice Bevel, Mag Faison; grandchildren, Kahala,Naomi, Subiere,Herschel, Kevin jr,Christian, Lateashia, Andy and Zharyieanna; many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Special thanks to Paula Lee, the staff at Woodland Grove Health and Rehabilitaion Center, especially Keisha, Christie and Vanessa. The staff of Community Hospice of Jacksonvillle, especially Rhodalyn.

A viewing will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Dayspring Baptist Church, 5654 Dunn Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32218.Interment will follow the service at Edgewood Cemetery, 4519 North Edgewood Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32219.
