Evelyn W. Poole

Evelyn W. Poole passed away on March 15, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. She was the daughter of Charlie and Francina Wiggins.

Evelyn attended Butler Elementary School and graduated from Allendale Training High School. She married Ronald Poole on February 14, 1981. They raised two children, LaSonya May and Ronald Christopher Poole. She worked for Bank of America and retired in 2010 after twenty-three years of service.

Evelyn accepted the Lord at an early age and later joined Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Willie O’Neil Tucker, Sr. She had a deep abiding love in working for her Lord, serving as a deaconess and an usher. Evelyn was instrumental in loving people and was always there for her husband, children and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Ronald Poole, daughter, LaSonya A. May and brother, George Wiggins.

Evelyn leaves to mourn her memory, her devoted son, Ronald Christopher Poole; niece, Veronica Flowers; friend, Pat Ivey and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 264-1233. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 27,  2021 at 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home.
