Frances Guerra

Frances Guerra, 85, passed away on August 13, 2026 in Orange Park, FL. She was born on April 2, 1941 in Elizabethton, TN, to the late Bruce Bowers and Mabel Campbell Bowers.

Frances was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking, listening to country music, reading the bible and spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed sharing the fruits of her garden with those she loved. She was a member of The Rock Bible Church in Middleburg, FL.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Guerra; parents, Bruce Bowers and Mabel Campbell Bowers; brothers, Millard Bowers, Sidney Bowers and Charles Stophel, sisters, Vada Barnett, Lena Scalf and Nyoka Johnson; grandparents, Robert Bowers and Emma Jenkins Bowers.

Frances is survived by her loving children, Lisa Rebecca Howard, Teddy Mack Bowers, Carl Theodore Bowers, Donna Gail Pack and Mark Stephen Guerra; grandchildren, Tyree Mikell, Devon Howard, Heather Brumage, Heather Grace and Jenny Pack; great-grandchildren, Jason Mikell, Leah Mikell, Makayla Mikell, Julonie Howard and Jianna Howard, Vance Brumage, Luke Brumage, Kylie Ericson and Chloe Ericson; friends, Carole Robinson, Yvonne McKenzie, Lupe Morales, Ginny Huerta, Heather Farley and Natalie French and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Haven Hospice of Orange Park for the care and compassion shown to Frances.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 10:00 a.m. both at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 264-1233.
