Giang Lan Brill, our beloved wife, mother and bà ngoại passed peacefully October 14, 2018 with her family by her side at the age of 68 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born and raised in An Lộc, Vietnam where she met Warrant Officer Grey Brill during the Vietnam War and married him on April 7, 1970. She moved to the States in 1974 where they raised their 2 daughters. She and Grey traveled often and in her free time she enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family. She was known for her infectious smile, her kind spirit, her love for gardening and testing her luck at the lottery. She will be forever remembered and dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Grey Brill, two daughters Minh-Anh Royal (Andy) and Lynn Brill, granddaughters Shayna and Abigail Royal and Jayden Griffis, great granddaughter Ameliah Stofferahn, brothers Ta Thanh Long (Oanh), Ta Xuan Hung (Ha) and sister Ta Thi Que Bastian (Carl) and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother Nguyen Thi Thanh and father Ta Xuan Minh, three brothers, Ta Xuan Hai, Ta Xuan Nhut, and Ta Xuan Dung, by two sisters, Ta Thi Thanh Van and Ta Thi Nga.
The family will have a Celebration of Life at Lakeshore Women’s Club, 2352 Lake Shore Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32210 on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 1:00 PM and request for potted flowers or plants in lieu of cut flowers to keep her memory alive in her garden that we will turn into her memorial.
