Glenna Davis VanPelt passed away on January 28, 2021 in Orange Park, FL. She was born on July 15, 1927 in Salem, WV, to the late Laurence Davis and Edna Zinn Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Clyde VanPelt; brothers, Carlton Davis, Edsel Davis and Robert “Bob” Davis; sisters, Juanema Kinney, Devera Sutton, and Lula Roukema.
Glenna was a lifetime member of 80+ years of Seventh Day Baptist Church of Salem, WV and a member of the Garden Club of Charleston, WV.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Jo VanPelt Bashaw; grandchildren, Jessica Bashaw Roszel (Kenneth) and Jacob Jeffrey Bashaw (Lindsey); great-grandchildren, Aleczander, Arabella, Hannah Bashaw and Mason Bashaw; sisters, Carolyn Hutson (Dale) of Melbourne, FL, Donna Ash (Wilbur) of Salem, WV and Elaine Marks (Ronald) of The Villages, FL; many nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and most important, her dog, Rosabelle.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Seventh Day Baptist Church of Salem, WV, 171 East Main Street, Salem, WV 26426.
There will be a graveside service, Monday, February 1, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513, with Pastor Michael Spearl of Union Station Seventh Day Baptist Church, Dunedin, FL as celebrant.
