Deaconess Grace W. Wilson, 72, beloved wife of Deacon Frank L. Wilson, Sr., passed away on October 20, 2022 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born on August 10, 1950 in Effingham County, GA, to the late Deacon Daniel Williams, Sr. and Deaconess Eula Mae Williams, one of 15 children born of their union.
Grace worked along with former mayor of Jacksonville, FL, Jake Godbold, to help make positive changes in their community for many years. She grew up as a member of First African Baptist Church in Savannah, GA, and later became a member and served at Philippian Community Church. Grace was a member of Eastern Star and was a licensed Cosmetologist.
Grace enjoyed spending quality time with her loving husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and many friends. Frank and Grace were together for 57 years, which included being married for 53 years.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Khalil J. Wilson.
Grace is survived by her husband, Deacon Frank Wilson, Sr.; children, Frank Wilson, Jr., Marlon Wilson, Sr., Tameka Wilson-Sineus, Deleathea Wilson Eze and Petran Wilson, Sr.; 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Philippian Community Church, 7578 Kings Road, Jacksonville, FL 32219.
