Hayward Spencer Leaks “Mr. Duval-ish” was born on March 18, 1978 in St. Petersburg, FL to Zilphia Elaine Dukes-Leaks Barney and the late Hayward Leaks.
Hayward is a graduate of N.B. Forrest Sr. High School, Class of 1997. He studied at Florida State College and St. Johns College. He previously worked at First Coast Service Options and Florida Blue. He was affiliated with Duval-ish and enjoyed gaming, movies and music.
He was a born again man of passion with a relationship with God and was a member of Bethel Church, Deeper Waters Christian Center and Real Life End Time Evangelistic Ministries.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hayward Leaks; maternal grandparents, Sarah Ruth and Joseph Dukes of St Petersburg; paternal grandparents, Lillie Bell Leaks of St. Petersburg and David Leaks, Sr. of Jacksonville.
Hayward is survived by his mother, Zilphia Elaine Dukes-Leaks Barney of Jacksonville; his only brother, Joseph David Leaks (Allisa Marqueta) ofJacksonville; children, Cierra Alexandria Haynes (Michael) and Letia Rochelle Henderson (Cedric) all of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Payton Arielle Henderson and Cedric Tyrone “Bubba” Henderson, III; nieces, Jazmine Elaine Leaks, Shenerica Pearman, Sherica Pearman and Zaria Givens all of Jacksonville and Amber Scott of Sacramento, CA; godmothers, Cheryl Williams of Jacksonville and Maxine Sharpe of Washington, DC; god son, Elisha Andriantsoly; god sisters, Patrice Curtis (Gerard) and Janae Taylor of Jacksonville; aunts, Beverly A. True, Tia Belinda Smalls (Alvin) all of Jacksonville and Betty Odne’ of Tampa; uncles, Genard Dukes (Lille M.) of Jacksonville, Lorenzo Dukes (Valerie),of St. Petersburg, Jerome M. Dukes, George Dukes (Darlene) all of Tampa, Nathaniel Leaks (Lynn), David Leaks, Jr. (Teresa) both of St. Petersburg, and Curtis Leaks, of Norfolk, VA; best friend for life, Jason Reed of Savannah, GA and close loved friend, Latorie Beckett of Jacksonville. He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of cousins, close friends, and classmates.
