Irene Lewis Obituary

Our mom and Gaga was an amazing woman. She was born in New Jersey in 1943 and grew up in a huge family, full of love and fun. Going to Aunt Millie’s farm, Carney’s Point, memories and trips to Wildwood with Carolyn and the family, what fun we had. She loved the world, loved the beach, loved the ocean and loved her family!

In Florida she found a peaceful, amazing life full of fun and stayed in touch with lifelong friends, Darlene and Carolyn, and new friends, including Jim, until the end of her life. She was your friend forever when she loved you. Lots of talk, laughter, games, cruises and always fun! Lots of family visits, Uncle Kenny, Carolyn and Bill and their families. So many amazing memories to cherish.

In 2011, Christy and Cameron gave mom her only grandchild, Ava, the light of mom’s life! Giggles, smiles, games, cards, coloring, swimming, hugs and kisses. Mom was never happier than when she was with Ava. Lots of great family times with the 5 of us! Cruises, Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays, any excuse to have a good time together and eat. More laughter, lots of fun and lots of smiles. And always lots of love. Mom was full of love everyday of her life.

Irene is survived by her daughters, Debbie Lewis and Christy Gaskill; son-in-law, Cameron Gaskill; beloved granddaughter, Ava; her cats, Jessu and Cupcake and loads of friends and loved ones.

Mom was the light of all our lives and we know she is walking on a beautiful beach somewhere! We will miss her every day, remember her every day and love her for the rest of our lives!
