James F. Cate

 August 31, 1941 ~December 29, 2022 

James F. Cate, 81, passed away on December 29, 2022. Jim was married to Margaret Ceil Cate (nee Tanner). Jim and Ceil were married for 58 years. He was preceded in death by his children, Michael Cate in 1998 and Corey Turman in 2019. Mr. Cate is survived by his wife, Ceil Cate; his brothers, David G. Cate (Melody) of Moorestown, NJ and Grant K. Cate (Louisa) of Savannah, GA. His son-in-law, Jason Turman and grandsons, Tennyson, Alaric, and Everitt Turman of Phoenix, Arizona. His nephew, Justin Cate (Emily) of Mount Laurel, NJ, Kristin Cate of Moorestown, NJ and Lauren Cate of St. Augustine, FL. Jim served honorably in The United States Navy from 1960-1964 and spent a 40-year career in various professional and management positions with IBM. After Jim retired in 2008, he spent his time with family, particularly with his devoted wife, children, and grandchildren, as well as fishing and playing tennis.  Jim was a wonderful and extraordinary man who will be deeply missed by his family and his friends.
