Jason Christopher Mendeola

Jason Christopher Mendeola, 49, of Orange Park passed away September 15, 2019 after a brief illness. Jason was born in Staten Island, NY and grew up in Orange Park where he was a tri-star athlete playing basketball, football and baseball at OPHS. He worked for AT&T for a time and coached youth basketball.

Jason will be remembered for his quick wit, light-heartedness and his readiness to accept a challenge or adventure when presented to him.

Jason is survived by his mother, Elfriede Blackmar, father, Roberto Mendeola, and sister, Colleen Murphy. He also leaves behind his beloved English bulldog, Barney.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. following a visitation starting at 2:00 p.m., with Fr. Donal Sullivan officiating, both at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233.
